Bush and Rummy

In this week's Democractic Underground Top Ten Consevative Idiots is a gem of a line that sums up why Bush won't fire Rummy (or anyone else in his neocon secret society):

I guess you don't change horsemen in the middle of an apocalypse.

That really, truly nails it on the head.

I've been using this one in conversation. Really nice.

O.K., I've been working on this concept for several months now. But I still need some help.

If George W. is Death
and Condi Rice is War
and Cheney is Pestilence

then who is Famine?

This moment brought to you by "Good Omens" ( a highly recommended novel) and watching too many Buffy reruns.

After the pundits at The Project for a Huge Unjustified Crusade (PHUC) published their tome, "How to go from Empire to Banana Republic in Two Terms," the decision was made to use only three horsemen, instead of the traditional four.

"This Apocalypse will be a cakewalk," was the concensus in the flaming pits of hell where Rumsfeld spends his time off-world.
