Our Savior Lutheran Preschool is Expanding

Our Savior Lutheran Preschool is expanding and adding new classrooms for all ages.  Also, in the fall of 2012,  we will again be offering a full-day transitional kindergarten class which teaches to the High Reach, award-winning, Kindergarten curriculum.  Our degreed and kindergarten-certified P-K and transitional kindergarten staff also employ the best teaching practices developed by Dr.  George Morrison, a foremost early childhood specialist, author of many college textbooks for early childhood educators and professor at the University of North Texas.  Parents my choose a  3, 4 or 5 day option for the transitional kindergarten program.

Since early childhood is the most formative and impressionable age, Our Savior Preschool emphasizes character education, integrating Christian values into a challenging academic curriculum.

Our Savior Preschool is An Investment in the Future:

The first five years of a child’s life are the most impressionable and formative.  They are the foundation that shapes a child’s  future health, happiness, physical, spiritual, social, mental and moral development and his/her ultimate learning achievement and contribution to society.  An investment in the first five years of a child’s life is the most worthwhile and greatest investment a society can ever make because it creates the quality of the future of the child, the parent and the culture.

We are expanding our two-year old program to accommodate more 2′s.  We still have some MWF openings in our 2 and a half year old class and several MWF openings in ages 2.2 through 5′s.   Please feel free to come by and visit any time between 9:30 and 11:00 o’clock, Monday through Friday. We would love to meet you.

Our Savior will offer Summer Camps for ages 2 through 5

Summer Camp Registration Form for Summer 2012.

SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION CONTINUES

Last summer Our Savior Preschool finished our summer camps  August 1 with 69 children enjoying thematic camps during June and July.  We had lots of fun pretending to walk a circus tight rope, jump through pretend hoops like a lion, learning about zoo animals and jungle creatures and insects, creating  our own giant mosquito, making snowcones and and enjoying the visit of a real live horse, named Bob, which we learned to groom and care for during Western Week.  It was such a fun six weeks that passed too quickly!

This summer of  2012,  we will again offer six weeks of summer camps that will be just as fun.   Here are the dates that our camps will run.   Options of times will be 7:30 to 5:30 or 10:00 until 2:00 o’clock.  Campers my choose 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week and between long or short days.  Long days will be $30.00 per day and short days will be $20.00 per day. There will be a $25.00 advance down payment fee for each camp you enroll. However, when you attend the week for which you enroll, the $25.00 fee will then be applied to your regular weekly charge. (the days that you attend)

For example, if you sign up for two days per week, short days, your weekly fee will be $40.00 per week.  If you have paid the $25.00 reservation fee, then you will only owe the remainder of the $40.00 charge which would be $15.00. that week.  The reason that we have to do this is that we need to know how many children are coming for staffing, ratio and teaching purposes.  If you sign up for a week and do not come, you will be charged the $25.00 any way, because we may have had to turn other children away because of having reserved your spot.  We strive to be as fair as possible, but unless people put money down, via a reservation fee, it is impossible to know when children will be attending.

Summer Camps -  Summer 2012
1st session – June 11th-16th   Up, Up and Away!

*Children 3 and older will join VBS for some parts of the day.

If extended hours are not needed for this week,  parents may want to enroll their children in VBS only which meets from 9:00 until 12:00 noon.  Children must be 3 to attend VBS free of charge, but parents must be responsible for delivering  them at 9:00 am and picking them up promptly at 12:00 noon.

2nd session -  June 18-22     Way Out West

3rd session – June 25-29    Science Adventures

NO CAMP THE WEEK OF THE 4th OF JULY

4th session - July 9-13     Under the Sea

5th session- July 16- 20   Time Travelers

6th session - July 23rd-27 Circus Time is Here!

SPECIAL NOTE ON REGULAR ENROLLMENT

Because we are enlarging our program, we still have spots available.   If you are interested in enrolling, come by and visit our facilities anytime between 9:30 and 11:00, Monday through Friday. We enroll year round, as long as there is availability.

We offer lots of flexibility and convenience for parents.   If you need 15, 30, 45 minutes or an hour, you are charged for just what you use.    Because of our flexible hours, we provide a convenient schedule for mothers working part-time, almost full-time or returning to college.
